A Sustainable Transformation Around a 1950s Estate
This large-scale project reimagined every square metre of outdoor space around a charming 1950s property in Nantwich, blending timeless elegance with eco-friendly design.
Back Garden: Eco-Friendly Sophistication
The outdated patio was replaced with a sleek, low-maintenance wrap-around porcelain patio. At its heart, a self-sustaining wildlife pond, landscaped with reclaimed sandstone, native pond plants, and a shallow bird beach, creates a haven for biodiversity. A wildflower turf patch nearby offers a vibrant sanctuary for pollinators.
A bespoke raised and curved Corten steel greenhouse and vegetable patch mirror the garden’s flowing design. An L-shaped raised bed provides space for dining or relaxing. Enhancements such as gravel walkways, espalier wire, new fencing, and a handcrafted shed elevate both function and style.
Front Garden: Refined Kerb Appeal
Wildflower turf under a stately spruce tree and a curved beech hedge frame the entrance. Reclaimed granite blocks and a black sleeper retaining wall enhance the elegant entryway.
The unlevel driveway was transformed with 200m² of gravel stabilisation grids topped with Staffordshire pink pea gravel, ensuring a polished, low-maintenance finish that is completely water permeable.
Courtyard: A Stylish Retreat
An underutilised storage space became a tranquil courtyard, anchored by a striking raised Corten steel planter. Carefully selected greenery, including large holly trees, completes this inviting area.
This transformation reflects how thoughtful landscaping can elevate an estate, balancing sustainability, functionality, and bespoke luxury.
