A Garden Built to Last

This project was all about solving practical issues while creating a beautiful and functional outdoor space. Here's what went into the transformation:

Flooding Fixed: To tackle the garden’s flooding issues, we installed a 1.5m³ soakaway and 50m of French drains, ensuring the space stays dry and usable no matter the weather.

Proper Preparation: We removed 4 grab lorries of heavy clay, levelled the garden by reducing the height by roughly 40cm, and added high-quality, free-draining topsoil to provide a solid foundation for planting and landscaping.

Key Features:

• A durable large format Hammer Grey porcelain patio, replacing the old concrete slabs for a clean and modern look.

• Composite decking with a bespoke pergola, tiered raised beds, and Venetian battens for added privacy. All timber was carefully planed, sanded, and varnished for a high quality finish.

• A custom-built bar area, including Shou Sugi Ban beams, reclaimed scaffolding boards for a hand built tiered bar and BBQ worktops, combining style and sustainability.

• A new level lawn, paired with pollinator-friendly planting beds to encourage local wildlife.

This garden is now practical, inviting, and ready to enjoy for a growing family. If you’re looking to transform your outdoor space with a focus on quality and usability, we’d love to help.
