A Contemporary Family and Wildlife-Friendly Garden in Crewe
Designed with both style and nature in mind, this garden transformation creates a seamless blend of contemporary elegance and ecological harmony. From the initial consultation to final completion, every detail was carefully considered to provide a stress-free experience and a space that enhances both family life and local biodiversity.
A rustic gravel pathway, set with Oakwood Brown porcelain stepping stones, winds through vibrant planting beds filled with over 40 species of locally sourced flowering and evergreen plants, offering year-round beauty. A wooden moon gate forms a striking entrance to the back garden, where a self-sustaining wildlife pond, complete with log piles and native aquatic plants, provides a haven for insects and amphibians. Less than a year after installation of the pond, Great Crested Newts were spotted in its shallows.
A bespoke pergola, featuring terracotta herringbone tiles, creates a stylish retreat, soon to be draped in climbing plants and glowing with solar lights. Sleek hand made batten fencing and a sweeping planting border add texture and colour, while recycled materials subtly reinforce the garden’s sustainable ethos. Thoughtfully designed for both people and wildlife, this inviting space balances beauty, function, and ecological responsibility.
